For nearly two years, I have had the incredible privilege of serving as a volunteer photojournalist for an NGO in Senegal. This opportunity has allowed me to witness and document the inspiring efforts undertaken to promote sustainable healthcare and accessible surgery.
To help fund the work I do for this educational surgical ship, I am independently raising support by selling prints taken in this special country.
Every purchase of the prints above not only brings a piece of Senegal's magic to your home but also contributes directly to the initiatives that seek to improve the lives of its people. The proceeds generated from these sales will be used to further the NGO's efforts in expanding healthcare access and surgical services by allowing me to tell the stories of the work being done to major donors so patients can continue to have free surgery and local professionals continue to be trained.
As my journey continues, I'm getting ready to embark on a new venture with the organization in Sierra Leone.
I am oh so thankful for all the support I've received on this meaningful whirlwind of a career, and I am grateful for the special opportunity to combine my passion for photography to capture patients’ journeys and local medical professionals with this organization to impact these vibrant and deserving communities.
Together, through art and advocacy, we really can continue to strive for a world where sustainable healthcare and life-changing surgery are available to all.
Prints are through Artifact Uprising. You can choose from multiple sizes as well as a collection of ten 4x4 prints of your choice.
XOXO,
Elizabeth

Meet Samba -
He has a freaking mustache now. After more than 50 years his sweet mom (pictured in the gallery above and cute as can be) got to see her son grow a mustache. There is a lot more to his narrative, and I can’t wait to share more about him, but just a look in the window of the work being done.
